Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting
Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX),
47-33 in Friday's non-league test.
The Cougars (2-11) will now prepare for their test against
Deweyville (Deweyville, TX). The Pirates go into the
2A Region III District 24 test with a 13-5 record. In their last test,
Deweyville topped
Anahuac (Anahuac, TX),
80-77, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they host
Leggett for a non-league test on Thursday, January 3.
Shepherd will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a
82-30 non-league loss to
Kountze (Kountze, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 6-12.
