Texas High School Basketball - Cypress Creek falls to Cypress Lakes

(February 9, 2010: Katy, TX 77449) The Cypress Lakes Spartans basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Cypress Creek Cougars to 62 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 9-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cypress Ridge for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, February 12. Cypress Lakes will confront a Rams team coming off a 59-53 league win over Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Rams record now stands at 12-16.

The Cougars (18-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX). The Bobcats enter the 5A Region II District 15 contest with a 20-8 record. In their last contest, Cy-Fair ran past Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX), 63-47, in a league contest.
