California High School Basketball - Mission Prep prevails Miramonte

(December 17, 2011: San Luis Obispo, CA 93401) Mission Prep Royals (San Luis Obispo, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA), 62-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mission Prep upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Royals host Santa Clara (Oxnard, CA) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Santa Clara won 48-45 in their recent non-league bout against Campbell Hall (North Hollywood, CA)

Next up, the Matadors play the Lincoln Mustangs (San Francisco, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Miramonte will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 67-59 non-league loss to McNair (Stockton, CA).
