(February 28, 2009: San Jose, CA 95132) The Piedmont Hills Pirates basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting San Benito Haybalers to 37 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 27-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salinas for a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 4. Piedmont Hills will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 45-43 non-league win over Serra (San Mateo, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 22-7.
