Texas High School Basketball - Wellman-Union can't hold off Borden

(January 20, 2012: Gail, TX 79738) The Wellman-Union Wildcats basketball team (Wellman, TX), was nudged 62-56 in Friday's league battle with the host Borden Coyotes (Gail, TX)

The Coyotes now possess a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Klondike for a 1A-2 Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Borden will meet a Cougars team coming off a 41-37 league win over Grady (Lenorah, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 12-10.

The Wildcats (10-16) will now prepare for their battle against Loop (Loop, TX). The Longhorns come into the 1A-2 Region I District 8 battle with a 12-10 record. In their last battle, Loop was nudged by O'Donnell (O'Donnell, TX), 60-35, in a league battle.
