(December 14, 2007: Katy, TX 77449) The Morton Ranch Mavericks basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Tomball Cougars to 66 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cinco Ranch for a 5A Region III District 18 contest on Monday, December 17.

The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX). The Highlanders come into the non-league contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, The Woodlands was nudged by Klein Forest (Houston, TX), 64-47, in a non-league contest.
