Kentucky High School Basketball - Ballard Memorial tipped by Mayfield
(February 3, 2012: Mayfield, KY 42066) The Mayfield Cardinals basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Ballard Memorial Bombers to 48 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lone Oak for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 4. Mayfield will confront a Purple Flash team coming off a 68-61 league win over Heath (West Paducah, KY). The Purple Flash record now stands at 12-14.
The Bombers (9-13) will now prepare for their contest against Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Warren East was nudged by Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY), 68-51, in a league contest.
