(December 2, 2011: Midlothian, TX 76065) The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Midlothian Panthers (Midlothian, TX), 61-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, The Colony upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Wylie (Wylie, TX) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Wylie won 47-43 in their recent non-league bout against Wakeland (Frisco, TX)

Next up, the Panthers encounter the Waco Lions (Waco, TX) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 5. Midlothian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 68-42 non-league win over Yes College Prep Southeast (Houston, TX).
