Kansas High School Basketball - Trego winner over Ellis

(January 17, 2012: WaKeeney, KS 67672) Trego Golden Eagles (WaKeeney, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ellis Railroaders (Ellis, KS), 59-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Trego upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Norton (Norton, KS) to play the Bluejays in a Mid-Continent bout on Friday, January 20. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Norton won 48-30 in their recent league bout against Plainville (Plainville, KS)

Next up, the Railroaders play the Hill City Ringnecks (Hill City, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Ellis will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Ringnecks go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 68-36 non-league loss to Smith Center (Smith Center, KS).
