Texas High School Basketball - Smyer trounces New Deal
(December 16, 2011: Smyer, TX 79367) The Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX) basketball crushed the visiting New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX), 67-28 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bobcats (14-0) will now prepare for their test against Tahoka (Tahoka, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A-1 Region I District 6 test with a 7-10 record.
The Lions now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Morton for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. New Deal will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 55-40 non-league win over Brownfield (Brownfield, TX). The Indians record now stands at 10-4.
