Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Cumberland Valley can't hold off Central York
(December 17, 2011: York, PA 17404) The Central York Panthers basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Cumberland Valley Eagles to 50 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Dover for a non-league contest on Monday, December 19. Central York will meet a Eagles team coming off a 65-23 non-league win over Spring Grove (Spring Grove, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Chambersburg (Chambersburg, PA). The Trojans come into the Mid-Penn - Commonwealth contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Chambersburg was nudged by Harrisburg (Harrisburg, PA), 72-48, in a league contest.
