(January 27, 2012: Corinth, MS 38834) The Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS) basketball nipped the visiting Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS), 40-39 in Friday's non-league test.

The Warriors (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Tupelo (Tupelo, MS). The Golden Wave go into the non-league test with a 17-8 record.

The Bears now own a 12-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ingomar for a non-league test on Saturday, January 28. Alcorn Central will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 86-28 league loss to Byers (Holly Springs, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 9-15.
