(September 21, 2007: Southern Pines, NC 28387) In Friday's league match, the visiting Byrd Eagles football squad scored a big 44-7 victory over the Pinecrest Patriots.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC) in a Mid-Southeastern match, on Friday, September 28. Byrd will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 14-13 league loss to Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
