Florida High School Basketball - Central crushes River Ridge

(December 6, 2007: New Port Richey, FL 34654) Central Bears (Brooksville, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the host River Ridge Knights /Royal (New Port Richey, FL), 58-29 in a league battle.

The Bears now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Nature Coast Tech for a non-league battle on Monday, December 10. Central will battle a Sharks team coming off a 63-31 league win over Pasco (Dade City, FL). The Sharks record now stands at 9-0.

The Knights /Royal (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Wesley Chapel (Wesley Chapel, FL). The Wildcats come into the 5A District 7 battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Wesley Chapel triumphed over Ridgewood (New Port Richey, FL), 35-23, in a league battle.
