(January 17, 2012: San Angelo, TX 76903) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) and the host Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX), saw Midway's basketball squad hold off Lake View by a score of 75-71.

With the victory, Midway improves its record to 10-15 on the campaign. The Panthers host University (Waco, TX) to battle the Trojans in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-15. University lost 46-31 in their recent league challenge against Stephenville (Stephenville, TX)

Next up, the Chiefs battle the Waco Lions (Waco, TX) in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Lake View will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 11-14 record after their 63-49 league loss to Killeen (Killeen, TX).
