First Quarter Summary:
The Wolves started a bit tentatively in this match. Wharton was able to control the midfield in the early stages of the game, which led to the Wildcat's first goal. The Wolves weren't able to mount much offense in the 1st half, and trailed 0-1 at the halftime break.

Second Quarter Summary:
In the 2nd half the Wolves started to find their possession legs and started to gain control in the midfield. Newsome was beginning to pressure the Wharton goal, when suddenly the Wildcats counter attacked and scored to go up, 0-2.
The Wolves were able to sustain the pressure and it finally paid off in the 70th minute. Niall Brown struck a lazer beam that struck the underside of the crossbar and just missed crossing the line. The rebound came out to John Van Der Luit, and he headed home safely to cut Wharton's lead in half.
Newsome's 'keeper, Kyle Hollingsworth, made some fantastic saves during the 2nd half, keeping the Wolves in the match. Although Newsome kept up the pressure, they weren't able to find the equalizer.
