Georgia High School Football - Lovejoy gets by Tri-Cities
(October 1, 2011: Lovejoy, GA 30250) The Lovejoy Wildcats football team scored 24 points and held the visiting Tri-Cities Bulldogs to 20 in the Wildcats league triumph on Saturday.
The Wildcats (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA). The Bulldogs come into the AAAA Region 4 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Zion nipped Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA), 14-12, in a league challenge.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Clayton for a AAAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, October 7. Tri-Cities will meet a Eagles team coming off a 21-20 league win over Banneker (College Park, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
