(February 1, 2012: Floyd, VA 24091) The Auburn Eagles basketball team (Riner, VA), was toppled 76-68 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA)

The Buffaloes now possess a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Radford for a A Three Rivers battle on Friday, February 3. Floyd County will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 59-52 league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 15-3.

The Eagles (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans come into the A Three Rivers battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Giles prevailed over Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA), 56-53, in a league battle.
