Utah High School Basketball - Brighton holds off Copper Hills
(January 20, 2012: West Jordan, UT 84088) Brighton Bengals (Salt Lake City, UT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Copper Hills Grizzlies (West Jordan, UT), 46-45 in a league bout.
With the victory, Brighton upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bengals host West Jordan (West Jordan, UT) to play the Jaguars in a 5A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 14-1. West Jordan won 65-54 in their recent league bout against Alta (Sandy, UT)
Next up, the Grizzlies play the Jordan Beetdiggers (Sandy, UT) in a 5A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Copper Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Beetdiggers come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 56-41 league win over Cottonwood (Salt Lake City, UT).
