(September 2, 2011: Gilbert, AZ 85233) The Mesquite Wildcats football squad scored 8 points and restricted the visiting Red Mountain Mountain Lions to 7 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chandler for a I Section II battle on Friday, September 9. Mesquite will face a Wolves squad coming off a 53-0 non-league win over Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ). The Wolves record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Mountain Lions face the Brophy College Prep Broncos (Phoenix, AZ) in a I Section III battle, on Friday, September 9. Red Mountain will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
