Oregon High School Basketball - North Salem nudges South Salem

(January 18, 2012: Salem, OR 97301) North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR), 71-68 in a league bout.

With the win, North Salem upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Vikings travel to Sprague (Salem, OR) to encounter the Olympians in a 6A Central Valley bout on Friday, January 20. The Olympians go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Sprague won 80-29 in their recent league bout against McNary (Keizer, OR)

Next up, the Saxons encounter the West Salem Titans (Salem, OR) in a 6A Central Valley bout, on Friday, January 20. South Salem will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 56-50 league win over McKay (Salem, OR).
