(September 24, 2009: Pierson, FL 32180) The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Taylor Wildcats (Pierson, FL) and the visiting Mainland Buccaneers (Daytona Beach, FL), saw Taylor's volleyball squad beat Mainland by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Taylor upgrades its record to 5-1 on the year. The Wildcats host Crescent City (Crescent City, FL) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Monday, September 28. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-4.

The Buccaneers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Deltona for a 6A District 2 bout on Tuesday, September 29. Mainland will play a Wolves squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Flagler Palm Coast (Bunnell, FL). The Wolves record now stands at 3-2.
