Arizona High School Basketball - Basha can't hold off Mountain View

(January 19, 2010: Chandler, AZ 85249) The Mountain View Toros basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Basha Bears to 44 in the Toros league triumph on Tuesday.

The Toros now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dobson for a 5A Central contest on Friday, January 22. Mountain View will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 74-61 league loss to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-7.

The Bears (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ). The Tigers enter the 5A Central contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, Gilbert was nudged by North (Phoenix, AZ), 76-71, in a non-league contest.
