California High School Basketball - Padre Pio Academy overwhelms Acaciawood

(December 8, 2011: Garden Grove, CA 92814) Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Padre Pio Academy Rebels (Garden Grove, CA) and the visiting Acaciawood Golden Eagles (Anaheim, CA), saw Padre Pio Academy's basketball squad trounce Acaciawood by a count of 61-33.

With the victory, Padre Pio Academy upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Rebels host Orangewood Academy (Garden Grove, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Orangewood Academy lost 47-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Hesperia Christian (Hesperia, CA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Pacific Lutheran Stingrays (Torrance, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Acaciawood will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Stingrays come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 62-22 non-league win over Environmental Charter (Lawndale, CA).
