Texas High School Basketball - Anton overwhelmed by Whitharral
(January 17, 2012: Whitharral, TX 79380) The Whitharral Panthers basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Anton Bulldogs to 24 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Whiteface for a 1A-2 Region I District 5 contest on Friday, January 20. Whitharral will meet a Antelopes team coming off a 52-42 league loss to Amherst (Amherst, TX). The Antelopes record now stands at 5-13.
The Bulldogs (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Petersburg (Petersburg, TX). The Buffaloes come into the 1A-2 Region I District 5 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Petersburg trounced Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX), 77-29, in a league contest.
