South Carolina High School Basketball - Broome tipped by Mid-Carolina

(January 27, 2012: Prosperity, SC 29127) The Mid-Carolina Rebels basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Broome Centurions to 61 in the Rebels league triumph on Friday.

The Rebels now sport a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saluda for a AA Region II contest on Tuesday, January 31. Mid-Carolina will confront a Tigers team coming off a 68-55 league loss to Newberry (Newberry, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 9-9.

The Centurions (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against Emerald (Greenwood, SC). The Vikings enter the AA Region II contest with a 10-9 record. In their last challenge, Emerald held off Woodruff (Woodruff, SC), 66-64, in a league challenge.
