Texas High School Basketball - La Vega crushes Peaster

(December 3, 2011: Peaster, TX 76485) La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX), 52-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, La Vega upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Pirates host Mexia (Mexia, TX) to encounter the Black Cats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Black Cats go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Mexia lost 52-45 in their recent non-league bout against Rouse (Leander, TX)

Next up, the Greyhounds encounter the Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Peaster will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
