Texas High School Basketball - Tivy holds off Clemens

(December 29, 2011: Schertz, TX 78154) Tivy Antlers (Kerrville, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Clemens Buffaloes (Schertz, TX), 42-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Tivy upgrades its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Antlers host Uvalde (Uvalde, TX) to play the Coyotes in a 4A Region IV District 28 bout on Friday, December 30. The Coyotes come into the bout with a record of 3-17. Uvalde lost 83-7 in their recent league game against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX)

With the defeat, Clemens moves to 7-16 on the year. The Buffaloes host Lockhart (Lockhart, TX) to face the Lions in a 4A Region IV District 27 game on Tuesday, January 3. The Lions enter the game with a record of 6-9.
