Texas High School Basketball - Sudan overwhelms Vega

(January 3, 2012: Sudan, TX 79371) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX) and the visiting Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX), saw Sudan's basketball squad trounce Vega by a score of 83-26.

With the victory, Sudan improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Lubbock HomeSchool (Lubbock, TX) to battle the Titans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 16-11.

Next up, the Longhorns battle the Claude Mustangs (Claude, TX) in a 1A-1 Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Vega will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record.
