Texas High School Basketball - Canadian routs West Texas
(January 17, 2012: Canadian, TX 79014) In Tuesday's league outing, the Canadian Wildcats (Canadian, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX), by a margin of 67-7.
The Wildcats (18-5) will now prepare for their outing against Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Bobcats go into the 1A-1 Region I District 1 outing with a 9-9 record. In their last outing, Sunray smashed Booker (Booker, TX), 48-43, in a league outing.
The Comanches now own a 6-17 record. They take the field next when they host Stratford for a 1A-1 Region I District 1 outing on Friday, January 20. West Texas will clash with a Elks squad coming off a 60-24 league loss to Gruver (Gruver, TX). The Elks record now stands at 3-12.
