Florida High School Basketball - River Ridge fells Neumann

(December 29, 2008: New Port Richey, FL 34654) River Ridge Knights /Royal (New Port Richey, FL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Neumann Celtics (Naples, FL), 49-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, River Ridge upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Knights /Royal travel to Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL) to play the Sharks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 30. The Sharks come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Nature Coast Tech won 52-43 in their recent league bout against Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL)

Next up, the Celtics play the Southwest Florida Christian Kings (Fort Myers, FL) in a 2A District 12 bout, on Monday, January 5. Neumann will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Kings come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 59-36 non-league loss to Seven Rivers Christian (Lecanto, FL).
