Texas High School Basketball - Frisco crushes Wakeland

(January 17, 2012: Frisco, TX 75034) Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX), 67-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Frisco upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Raccoons host Turner (Carrollton, TX) to play the Lions in a 4A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-17. Turner lost 58-33 in their recent league challenge against Centennial (Frisco, TX)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Wakeland will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 57-46 league win over Liberty (Frisco, TX).
