About the U.S. Air Force
National Player of the Week
MaxPreps.com and the U.S. Air Force will name a National Football Player of the Week throughout the football season. Fans can nominate a player of their choice by voting inside from a player's page. Team Players of the Week (designated by the team's coaching staff) are also automatically nominated. Additionally, if you would like to submit a nomination, please send your nomination to
friday5@maxpreps.com. Weighing all nominations against the criteria of off-the-field behavior, team leadership qualities and on-field performance, MaxPreps' Editorial Staff makes the final designation to a deserving candidate.
In addition to being celebrated on MaxPreps' home page, a special award ceremony will be held at the recipient's school where an official representative of the U.S. Air Force will present the winner with a plaque to commemorate his accomplishments.
Receiving the U.S. Air Force National High School Football Player of the Week is a very prestigious honor as over 500,000 student-athletes compete on the gridiron each week. Starting in September, the weekly award will be bestowed through November.
