The Las Vegas Wildcats baseball team (Las Vegas, NV), was overwhelmed 10-6 in Saturday's non-league outing with the visiting Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV)
The Gaels now hold a 37-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Green Valley for a non-league outing on Thursday, May 21. Bishop Gorman will confront a Gators team coming off a 12-3 non-league win over Coronado (Henderson, NV). The Gators record now stands at 24-10.
Jeff Malm allowed just three hits through six innings and went 3-for-4 at the plate in leading Bishop Gorman to a 10-6 victory over Las Vegas HS at Green Valley High Saturday, qualifying the Gaels for the Nevada state tournament next week.
Malm had a two-run homer in the first inning and run-scoring double in the third to spark the Gaels.
Johnny Field also slugged a two-run home run in the third inning as the Gaels surged to a 10-2 lead, before Las
Vegas closed the gap with four runs in the seventh.
