In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Cimarron-Memorial Spartans baseball team scored a tight 11-5 victory over the Las Vegas Wildcats.
The Spartans (24-5) will now prepare for their game against Legacy (North Las Vegas, NV). The go into the Sunset - Northwest game with a 19-6 record. In their last game, Legacy was overwhelmed by Arbor View (Las Vegas, NV), 4-2, in a league game.
The Wildcats (21-8) will now prepare for their game against Canyon Springs (North Las Vegas, NV). The Pioneers go into the Sunrise - Northeast game with a 1-12 record. In their last game, Canyon Springs was overwhelmed by Chaparral (Las Vegas, NV), 17-1, in a league game.

At Las Vegas, Taylor Doyle went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs to lead the Spartans past the Wildcats.
Kaz Smith and Kody Gorden each added two hits for the Spartans, who broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the sixth inning and scored four more in the seventh.
Tanner Chauncey was 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs to lead Las Vegas.
Bryce Harper, who homered, and Quinnton Mack had two hits each for the Wildcats.
