The Brook Hill Guard crushed the host Mabank Panthers baseball team by a count of 13-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Guard now possess a 23-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lovelady for a non-league bout on Friday, April 29.
Next, the Panthers face the North Forney (Forney, TX) in a 3A Region II District 13 bout, on Friday, April 22. Mabank will attempt to move on its 8-17 season record.
Drew Robertson moved to 5-1 on the season, pitching a great game striking out 7 in 4 innings. He helped his cause at the plate, going 3-4 with 2 Rbi's. Collin Mondrik and Michael Greening each had 3 hit efforts, as the Guard pounded out 16 hits. Extra base hits were recorded by Michael Greening, Travis Pirtle, Garrett Moore, Robertson and Collin Mondrik had two doubles. Freshman Jonah Gonzales got the six run fourth started with a triple to right field. The Guard now has a 19 game winning streak, and played todays game without out JB Moss and AJ Minter who were attending junior day at the University of Arkansas.
