The Harbor Creek Huskies baseball team won Friday's home tournament game against Central Tech by a score of 8-5.
Game Details: North Coast Baseball Challenge
In Friday's non-league challenge, the Harborcreek Huskies (Harborcreek, PA) baseball squad the visiting Central Tech Falcons (Erie, PA), by a final score of 8-5.
With the win, Harborcreek upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Huskies host Fredonia (Fredonia, NY) to encounter the Hillbillies in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. The Hillbillies come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
With the defeat, Central Tech falls to 0-1 on the season. The Falcons travel to Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA) to encounter the Bison in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. The Bison come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.
Harbor Creek wins their season opener, which also served as the opener of the North Coast Baseball Classic, 8-5 over Central Tech. Tim Schwenk struck out 10 batters in 4 innings to get the win and Todd Goss picked up the save going the final 3 innings. Jason King hit a Grand Slam in the 3rd inning and picked up 5 RBI's. Chris Merritt hit a solo shot in the 5th. Nick Barclay had two hits and an RBI.
