The Garfield Bulldogs the visiting Roosevelt Roughriders baseball team by a count of 5-1 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 6-11 record. They take the field next when they host Woodinville for a 4A KingCo bout on Wednesday, April 27. Garfield will face a Falcons team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Bothell (Bothell, WA). The Falcons record now stands at 11-7.
Next, the Roughriders face the Ballard Beavers (Seattle, WA) in a 4A KingCo bout, on Wednesday, April 27. Roosevelt will attempt to move on its 6-11 season record. The Beavers enter the bout with a 9-10 record after their 17-6 league loss to Inglemoor (Kenmore, WA).
Zach Ward's 3rd inning 3-RBI 2B and WP John Trupin's 6IP, ER, 6H, 2BB, K pitching performance led the Garfield Bulldogs to a 5-1 victory over the Roosevelt RoughRiders. Spencer Scott had an RBI 2B and Trupin an RBI 1B in the 5th inning to complete the scoring for Garfield. Roosevelt's only run came in the 2nd inning on a bloop RBI 2B by David Long. LP Tim Moore pitched well for the RoughRiders giving up only an ER in 4.1 innings, but 3 costly errors by the infield led to 4 unearned runs.
