The Agoura Chargers baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Westlake Warriors to 3 in the Chargers league victory on Friday.
The Chargers (16-2) will now prepare for their match against Marshall (Los Angeles, CA). The Barristers go into the non-league match with a 16-12 record. In their last match, Marshall was overwhelmed by Franklin (Los Angeles, CA), 3-2, in a league match.
The Warriors (7-12) will now prepare for their match against Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA). The Panthers go into the Marmonte match with a 14-4 record. In their last match, Newbury Park edged Millikan (Long Beach, CA), 6-0, in a non-league match.
Westlake High School outdone by Fehmel and Agoura, 7-3
Brody Fehmel went 2-3, sparking Agoura to a 7-3 victory in seven innings over Westlake High School on Friday at Agoura. He singled in the second and fourth innings.
Agoura starting pitcher Jordan Shulman got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed one unearned run over four innings. The Agoura pitcher struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.
In relief, Tyler Cohen worked out of seven difficult moments for Agoura. He pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on no hits. Cohen faced his trickiest spot in the fifth inning.
