(May 23, 2012: Jackson, KY 41339) In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Breathitt County Bobcats baseball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Wolfe County Wolves.

The Wolves (20-10) will now prepare for their game against Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Engineers go into the non-league game with a 17-17 record. In their last game, Estill County tipped Powell County (Stanton, KY), 8-2, in a non-league game.
The Wolves made three costly errors to give away a District Title. They wasted a great pitching performance from junior lefty Brett Denniston who struck out 10 and gave up no earned runs. Three costly errors, one ine the 4th, one in the 6th and one in the 7th accounted for all of Breathitt Counties runs. The Wolves will open up Regional play on Monday, but they will have to play better defense if they expect to advance. Their pitching has been good all season, but costly errors have been the difference in most of the teams 10 losses thus far.
