The Northridge Grizzlies (Greeley, CO) baseball trounced the visiting Windsor Wizards (Windsor, CO), 10-3 in Thursday's league contest.
Coming up next, the Grizzlies play the Rancho Rams (Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 9. Northridge will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 8-10 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Corona (Corona, CA).
The Wizards now sport a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Erie for a 4A Tri-Valley contest on Tuesday, April 10. Windsor will play a Tigers squad coming off a 10-9 league loss to Sterling (Sterling, CO). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.
Northridge won their 3rd straight League game by defeating Windsor 10 - 3. Northridge junior Garrad Martinez got his first start on the hill and won his 1st game as a Grizzly. Garrad gave up 5 hits through 6 and 1/3 innings and walked 1 and struck out 6 with 2 earned runs. Northridge was led at the plate by Jordan Francies who was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a walk. Northridge improves to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the 4A Tri-Valley League in 1st place. Northridge nows travels to Las Vegas April 8 - April 13 to play 3 games.
