The Braddock Bulldogs Varsity make the most of three hits in 3-0 victory over Southridge
The Braddock Bulldogs Varsity and Southridge both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Braddock Bulldogs Varsity that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-0 win.
Southridge out-hit Braddock Bulldogs Varsity four to three, but Southridge stranded five runners on base.
The fact that the Braddock Bulldogs Varsity grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.
The Braddock Bulldogs Varsity's Elias Trehns kept Southridge off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up five.
The game was never in doubt after the third, as the Braddock Bulldogs Varsity scored three runs on a groundout by Brian Hernandez and a two-run single by Ivan Nunez.
