West Virginia High School Basketball - Ripley tipped by Washington
(February 7, 2009: Ripley, WV 25271) The Washington Patriots basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Ripley Vikings to 66 in the Patriots league triumph on Saturday.
The Patriots now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parkersburg for a Mountain State contest on Monday, February 9. Washington will confront a Big Reds team coming off a 64-59 league win over Hurricane (Hurricane, WV). The Big Reds record now stands at 9-5.
The Vikings (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Huntington (Huntington, WV). The Highlanders enter the Mountain State contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Huntington was nudged by Capital (Charleston, WV), 67-58, in a league contest.
