The Loyola Bull Dogs basketball team won Friday's home non-conference game against Westside Christian Academy by a score of 74-53.
Loyola Bull Dogs (Detroit, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westside Christian Academy Warriors (Detroit, MI), 74-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Loyola upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Bull Dogs travel to Academy for Business & Tech (Melvindale, MI) to play the Gators in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 26. The Gators come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Academy for Business & Tech won 74-61 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, MI)
Next up, the Warriors play the Lansing Christian Pilgrims (Lansing, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 22. Westside Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Pilgrims come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 60-25 non-league win over Genesee Christian (Burton, MI).
Terrible first quarter Loyola forced 10 turnovers and scored 28 points in that quarter and held WCA to only 6 points.
WCA picked it up this quarter on defense only allowing 11 points but missed a ton of layups.
