The Sunset Apollos basketball team lost Thursday's neutral playoff game against South Eugene by a score of 62-56.
This game is a part of the "Oregon High School Boys Basketball State Playoff Brackets: OSAA - OSAA 2010 Class 6A" tournament.
South Eugene Axemen (Eugene, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Sunset Apollos (Portland, OR), 62-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, South Eugene upgrades its record to 20-7 on the season. The Axemen travel to Westview (Portland, OR) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, March 12. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 24-3. Westview won 72-51 in their recent non-league bout against Oregon City (Oregon City, OR)
Next up, the Apollos play the Oregon City Pioneers (Oregon City, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 12. Sunset will attempt to upgrade on its 16-11 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 19-6 record after their 72-51 non-league loss to Westview (Portland, OR).
The Sunset Apollos basketball team lost Monday's neutral non-conference game against South Eugene by a score of 75-68.
