Fourth Quarter Summary
DICKSON, Tenn. --- Host Dickson County closed the third quarter with a 7-0 run over the final 1:25 to erase a two-point deficit which helped lead the way to a 54-42 win over visiting Waverly Central Monday night.
The game featured six lead changes and one tie before the Cougars took the lead for good on JeQuan Lewis 3-point field goal. The field goal broke a streak of 0-13 3-point field goal for DCHS in the game.
Dickson County then ouscored the Tigers 19-12 in the final period with the final margin of 12 points matching the team's largest lead in the game.
The Cougars were 2-17 shooting from 3-point range, but were 19-28 in 2-point field goal shooting. Lewis finished the game with a game-high 21 points, 17 coming in the second half. He also had six steals. Caleb Tuck added 10 points.
The Tigers were led by Austin Mullinax with 17 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Layne Spencer tallied 11 points, making 3 of 4 3-point attempts. Waverly was 15-33 overall from the field

(January 16, 2012: Dickson, TN 37055) In Monday's non-league outing, the Dickson County Cougars (Dickson, TN) basketball squad beat the visiting Waverly Central Tigers (Waverly, TN), by a count of 54-42.
The Cougars (15-3) will now prepare for their outing against Henry County (Paris, TN). The Patriots go into the AAA District 10 outing with a 7-10 record. In their last outing, Henry County was outscored by Northeast (Clarksville, TN), 70-63, in a league match.
With the defeat, Waverly Central moves to 11-7 on the year. The Tigers travel to Cheatham County Central (Ashland City, TN) to face the Cubs in a AA District 11 match on Tuesday, January 17. The Cubs enter the match with a record of 16-5. Cheatham County Central won 55-52 in their recent league match against Camden Central (Camden, TN)
