Douglas County Huskies (Castle Rock, CO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westminster Wolves (Westminster, CO), 56-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Douglas County upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Huskies travel to Fossil Ridge (Fort Collins, CO) to play the Sabercats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Sabercats go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Fossil Ridge won 87-78 in their recent non-league bout against Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO)

Next up, the Wolves battle the Pine Creek Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Westminster will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 87-78 non-league loss to Fossil Ridge (Fort Collins, CO).
