Washington, DC High School Basketball - Gonzaga can't hold off Paul VI
(February 12, 2012: Washington, DC 20010) The Paul VI Panthers basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the host Gonzaga Eagles to 83 in the Panthers league victory on Sunday.
The Panthers now sport a 23-2 record. They play next when they host St. Mary's Ryken for a Washington Catholic contest on Tuesday, February 14. Paul VI will meet a team coming off a 74-46 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The record now stands at 5-22.
The Eagles (22-4) will now prepare for their contest against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets come into the Washington Catholic contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, St. John's edged St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD), 74-46, in a league contest.
