The Escondido Cougars basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Mt. Carmel Sundevils to 28 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elsinore for a non-league contest on Friday, December 19. Escondido will play a Tigers squad coming off a 67-46 non-league win over Westview (San Diego, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.

Next up, the Sundevils play the Army-Navy Warriors (Carlsbad, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 19. Mt. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 59-45 non-league loss to La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA).
