The Ashland Blazer Tomcats basketball team lost Friday's home non-conference game against South Point by a score of 64-61.

South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ashland Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), 64-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, South Point upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Pointers travel to South Webster (South Webster, OH) to clash with the Jeeps in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Jeeps go into the bout with a record of 1-1. South Webster lost 49-43 in their recent non-league bout against Jackson (Jackson, OH)
Next up, the Tomcats clash with the Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Ashland Blazer will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 81-34 non-league win over Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY).
